Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring efficient and smooth operations
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control guidelines
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and providing patient education
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation of treatments provided
- Schedule patient appointments and assist with dental receptionist duties as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Experience:
- Proficient in dental assisting techniques, including four-handed dentistry
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and adherence to OSHA guidelines
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with the dental team
