What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager [Managed Care] position at Liberty Hospital?
SUMMARY: Manages all aspects of hospital and professional provider managed care contracting. Includes contract rate modeling, review of contract language and terms, negotiation of language and rates. Responsible for managing renewal process to ensure contract language and rates are evaluated to determine desired updates. Oversees payer underpayments, performance scorecards, and compliance with contract terms. Partners with internal stakeholders including Finance, Revenue Cycle, and Population Health Management. Develops, manages and sustains relationships with managed care networks.
Required Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in business or accounting
Required Experience: Minimum five (5) years analytical and financial experience in a healthcare setting (hospital provider or health plan), including complex data analysis; knowledge of managed care contracts and insurance payment methodologies. Excellent supervisory and communication skills.
Preferred Experience: Knowledge of medical terminology and coding; Access database management
