- Analyzes, develops and/or significantly modifies software, applications, and programs from general requirements and specifications
- Develops, codes/modifies, tests, debugs maintains, and enhance existing programs
- Analyzes complex technical problems and provides solutions
- Develops component design
- Develops and/or modifies effective, defect free source code that meets business requirements and team standards
- Participates in unit test case development
- Develops complex test scripts. Executes all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
- Works from specifications to develop or modify highly complex software programming applications
- Identifies and recommends appropriate continuous improvement opportunities
- Contributes technical alternatives
- Travel required up to 10%
- Telecommuting permitted 100%
The position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a Software Engineer-related occupation. Position also requires demonstrable experience with each of the following:
- Software engineering languages and tools including object-oriented programming languages and tools, and ability to develop on multiple platforms that include Salesforce, Java, and SQL
- Ability to develop on multiple platforms, specifically Salesforce, Java, and Kafka
- IT concepts, strategies, methodologies specifically using Jira and agile methodologies
- Diverse technologies and new technical architecture principles and concepts
- Utilizing technology such as AWS, Java, and Salesforce
- Layered systems architectures solutions and designs and shared software concepts
- Business function(s) and I/T industry business issues operations, strategies and objectives
- Agile software development concepts and processes
- Backlog tracking, burndown metrics, and incremental delivery
- Analyzing technical system problems, designing and implementing effective solutions
- Handling end-to-end development, including coding, testing, and debugging during each cycle
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Travel required up to 10%
- Telecommuting permitted 100%
