Director of Marketing Job Description
Lick Sleeve is a company dedicated to improving the lives of people and pets by improving their pet’s recovery journeys through innovative products designed by vets for pets. As a result of continued growth and the further adoption of our product we have decided to add to our team a highly skilled marketing director. The primary purpose and focus of this position is to oversee all promotional and advertising efforts to build brand awareness and drive sales that further grow and scale the organization. Our Ideal candidate will have extensive marketing experience and comprehensive branding knowledge. This individual will have the ability to work with and lead a team of designers, marketers, salesmen, writers, and third party professionals in order to complete objectives in alignment with the company's vision. Additionally, this individual will have both excellent written and oral communication skills. Lick Sleeve is eager to grow and expand our team in order to achieve our mission of improving the lives of people and pets at an international level.
Objectives of this Role
Collaborate with the team to uncover insights and strategies to develop and implement marketing and branding strategies for new and existing products, internally and externally.
Oversee and grow the marketing department, consistently identifying revenue opportunities within our established client base and managing consistent growth by securing new accounts (Wholesale/Distribution).
Identify short-term and long-term scheduling, budget, and resource needs, including the development and management of an annual marketing budget, profit/loss projections, expenditures, and other financial considerations.
- Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends in order to translate results into actionable insights for marketing.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Lead the development of our marketing plans working closely with clients, management, creative and content teams, and distribution partners, to create an effective and efficient marketing strategy focused on growing audiences for our products and services.
Manage, develop, and implement marketing campaigns, including design of test/control segmentation, implementation of tests, tracking, results reporting, analysis, and recommendations.
Manage conception, development, and implementation of marketing plan and strategies, product concepts, and promotional programs to drive interest and sales.
Participate in weekly cross departmental meetings to discuss and track company objectives to determine efforts required by the marketing team.
Hold regular meetings with account managers (Future Sales Efforts - Led by Director of Marketing) to review pipeline, resolve challenges, and present possible solutions, and provide ongoing training to ensure the team consistently performs above standard.
Attend and/or participate at conventions, conferences, and tradeshows, preparing engaging displays and collateral as needed, and providing post-event reports and analysis.
- Spearhead the strategic and tactical execution of branding and corporate identity initiatives as we launch the Lick Sleeve parent company from which new products will be developed
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications
Successful track record in senior marketing roles and creating marketing campaigns
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Experience with digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media
marketing
Proven ability to plan and manage budgets
Proficiency with HTML, content management systems, and design software
Established portfolio of media and PR contacts
Salary : $88,100 - $112,000
