WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
The Learning Content Designer supports the mission, goals and strategic plan of Life Connection of Ohio (LCO) by designing and improving online and in-person training content on a variety of topics. This role will collaborate closely with department leadership and the Training & Development (T & D) team to design dynamic, multimedia content for all training programs in the organization. They will use a content development framework to create interactive and innovative content in multiple mediums including video, web-based materials, e-learning software, infographics, game-based learning, visual design and facilitation materials for workshops, simulations, print-based resources in order to meet established learning goals and objectives. This role will be responsible for developing, cataloguing, and maintaining creative training materials with equal emphasis on design sensibility and learner experience outcomes. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duty or Function
1.      Maintains the highest standards of professional conduct and interpersonal relationship development, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment
2.      Creates initial e-learning and multimedia content in collaboration with the Training & Development team
3.      Develops storyboards and scripts for e-learning, virtual, and in-person training
4.      Uploads and configures e-learning content into learning management system
5.      Integrates emerging instructional methods and technologies into e-learning and live training
6.      Creates multimedia products using a variety of software programs, primarily in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Adobe Creative Cloud, Articulate 360, Storyline, and RISE
7.      Delivers content and products on-time with minimal defects
8.      Develops, manipulates, and edits digital imagery, video, graphics, and sound
9.      Evaluates training mediums to select the options that will aid in the delivery of concepts without unnecessary distraction, downtime or confusion
10.   Collaborates with other training and development specialists & department preceptors for technical content mapping, ensuring content creation is aligned with goals of clinical departments
11.   Collaboratively developments guides and presentations for training pathways and workshops
12.   Applies interaction design and interactive learning principles to instructional solutions for adult learners 
13.   Selects, modifies, and integrates existing instructional materials that employ multimedia and emerging technologies 
14.   Conducts stakeholder and SME interviews to determine, recommend and document project instructional standards, learner engagement strategies and evaluation plans. 15.   Experiments with new learning strategies, methods, and pilot programs
16.   Provides clear timelines through all phases, communicating with key partners, and selecting appropriate measurement for successful implementation
17.   Designs mock-ups and original artwork, as needed
18.   Fulfills additional individual and departmental directives, obligations and responsibilities, as designated. 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in training, learning technologies, multimedia design, or related field preferred

Experience: Experience with multimedia training platforms and e-learning technology (including course-building) strongly preferred. Experience in video/audio narration editing preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of Learning Management System administration
  • Knowledge of Articulate 360/Storyline/RISE
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of content editing tools such as Camtasia and Audacity
  • Competent using “iTransplant” donor management system
