Job Description

We are looking for a Product Lead, who is passionate about creating products from the ground up. You will be a guiding hand in the future of how data and analytics are used in the Life Insurance product lifecycles, from marketing to underwriting, from servicing to risk management. In this role, you’ll work closely with leadership to form and execute a product plan to enter and disrupt a market new to Verisk.

What You’ll Do

  • Help to foster a culture of innovation.
  • Conduct ongoing customer and market research to develop empathy for our customers (both internal and external), and understand the problems and issues facing them.
  • Work with our data science, development, and client advisors to develop product strategies that solve our customer’s greatest challenges.
  • Own the successful execution of product development strategies from idealization, prototyping to testing and production.
  • Lead the development of quantitative metrics to measure the value add and the performance of each new product.
  • Identify and lead the sourcing of data that support data analytics solutions.
  • Cultivate and manage strong relationships with partners across the company.
  • Look ahead to future product developments and changes in the marketplace and keep Verisk well positioned to grow and maintain our competitive edge.

Who You Are:

  • You have a history of unquestioned integrity.
  • You are passionate about innovation, design thinking, strategy, and product excellence, and you are comfortable using and socializing the modern tools, best practices, and mindset of advanced data analytics to significantly improve how the Life Insurance industry traditionally operate.
  • You are passionate about serving the customers, bringing solutions that truly add value; you are meticulous when it comes to holding standard high for product quality, performance and customer experience.
  • You seek out opportunities and challenges outside of your comfort zone in a desire to broaden your experience and skillset.
  • You are a proven self-starter with a bias to action.
  • You have demonstrated and can describe marked excellence in previous endeavors.
  • You effectively manage your time and work. You are self-motivated, you don't miss deadlines, and you have a high sense of responsibility and personal accountability.
  • You can demonstrate a history of planning and completing complex tasks with minimal oversight; and you rarely need prodding.
  • You have strong quantitative skills, have demonstrated ability to build or effectively challenge and quality control advanced data analytic models.
