What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Specialist position at Life Storage?

Warehouse Anywhere covers a broad range of customers including: retail, service and repair, pharmaceutical, medical device and installation, all of which have a need for a regional or national warehousing/storage solution.
Job duties:
- Safe handling of shipments and proper handling of inventory
- Always follow safe practices and standard work procedures
- Unload trucks with an electric or manual pallet jack
- Pick and package items to ship via small parcel carriers with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to use RF handheld scanner or computer
- Participate in inventory control and cycle counting as needed
- Strong work ethic – may perform different functionsthroughout the day
- Able to be on your feet 8 to 10 hours a day
- Day shift Monday – Friday and possible Saturday's depending on business needs
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to do basic math – add, subtract, multiply
- Warehouse experience 1 year (preferred)
- Pass background check
