Pay: Negotiable based upon experience
Summary
The Training Assistant is responsible for clerical and administrative duties related to the delivery and documentation of training. This position provides support for day-to-day operations in the Training department, including but not limited to assigning training plans, preparing classrooms for training, entering training data, tracking technology check in and out, and supporting team members completing competency exams. The person in this position reports to the Vice President of Training.
General Responsibilities
This position requires extended periods of sitting with some periods of walking and standing. It may also require bending, kneeling, and/or stooping and climbing stairs. It may require light to heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds independently, and occasional stooping, kneeling, bending, and/or climbing stairs depending on the needs of the individual supported. The position will require occasional physical intervention if confronted by a person displaying combative or potentially dangerous behavior. An individual in this position may need to drive a vehicle to resources in the community. There may be extended periods of using a computer and/or calculator.
Working Conditions
Office/home environment with noises from office equipment, etc. May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens and/or infectious diseases.

General Responsibilities
- Assists trainers with facilitating the initial orientation process, including the assignment of and completion of required training plans
- Provide support to team members completing training module competency exams
- Assist with completing attendance tracking and entering timekeeping for team members in orientation
- Enter and track team member trainings and certifications in the learning management system to ensure legal and regulatory compliance
- Assist with the production and distribution of training aids, including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works
- Assist with conducting training as needed
- Obtain and maintain all necessary certifications to conduct trainings
- Assist with the assigning and tracking of technology used for training completion
- The ability to effectively and efficiently use computers or mobile devices to input, access, modify, or output information. This includes the ability to quickly access, store and retrieve data.
- All other duties as assigned
- Minimum of one (1-2) years experience in the field of IDD
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Ability to engage in abstract reasoning and problem-solving
- Ability to interpret data and develop reports and correspondence
- Current driver’s license with acceptable driving record and access to reliable transportation to conduct visits to multiple sites plus attend community meetings
- Ability to manage time effectively and maximize efficiency
