About the role
LifeMD is looking for a passionate, self-starter to join our rapidly growing Finance Team as a Senior Accountant. The position reports directly to the Director of SEC Reporting, Technical Accounting & Compliance. The position will have significant opportunities for growth and upward mobility.
Responsibilities
Technical Accounting - Perform technical accounting research and document conclusions quarterly or as transactions arise. Technical accounting areas include but are not limited to revenue recognition, capitalized software, leases, intangibles, debt and equity. Perform equity and stock based compensation calculations quarterly
Internal Controls - Assist in the development of documentation and implement policies, standard operating procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
Tax - Assist in various aspects of income tax and payroll tax including the annual tax provision, associated internal controls and coordination with tax consultants for tax notices and filings
Financial Systems - Participate in select aspects of key projects concerning financial systems and internal controls including implementations and enhancements
Audit - Assist in the completion of relevant quarterly audit activities
Special Projects - Participate in special projects as assigned by the CFO, Controller and Director of SEC Reporting
Requirements
CPA Preferred, but not required
3-5 years of general accounting experience, preferably with a mix of public and private company experience
High energy, self starter that is intellectually curious and a team player
Strong project management skills and ability to work productively in a team or individually
Strong fundamental knowledge of US GAAP, revenue recognition and ability to perform technical accounting research and write technical accounting memos
Public company experience preferred
