POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Ambulatory Systems Access, Security & Optimization will lead efforts in ensuring our Ambulatory Systems meet and exceed all security requirements, users are added to the system in a timely manner, and providers are onboarded to the system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Develop a framework to ensure system access is provisioned to all end users in alignment with all regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Responsible for vendor management of user access processes for EMR systems. Ensuring SLAs as are met, processes remain up to date, and escalated items are managed.
  • Ensure compliance with local and federal requirements including, but not limited to 45 CFR Part II, age of majority requirements, SAFER guidelines, and information blocking.
  • Standardize local roles across the ambulatory enterprise to meet the security needs of all users, both clinical and billing. Create new roles, move users to expanded roles and audit the roles regularly.
  • Manage, implement, and support single sign-on with EMR Vendor, HSC security, local IT and users.
  • Provide subject matter expertise related to HIPAA.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor technology system onboarding tasks for all new staff and providers.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as requested within the scope of the department’s purview.
  • Review and hold accountable EMR vendor partners outstanding tickets.
  • Assist with providing support to the external and internal auditors, which would include Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements, and other compliance related protocols.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.

Exhibit a moderate understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Not responsible for supervising employees.
