We have an opportunity for a Linux System Admin. This role will be an Onsite role in Boca Raton, FL. Telecommuting is NOT an option for this position. Travel and relocation expenses will not be covered by the client or employer.

Job Summary:
UNIX Operations team is searching for a candidate who is proficient within a LINUX (Red Hat). The ideal candidate will have 6 years of experience in systems administration, along with knowledge of physical infrastructure and hardware such as Dell PowerEdge M/R servers. This candidate will provide LINUX support of around 400 servers. We are looking for an effective communicator and a problem-solving individual with attention to detail. Responsibility will encompass operational support of the LINUX estate, system maintenance (OS patching).
Job Requirements – Essential:
- RHEL Linux 8/7 administration/patch management.
- Linux Server builds and custom configurations.
- Performance tuning of Oracle database servers.
- Server Security vulnerability management.
- SolarWinds monitoring.
- Ansible tower management and upgrades.
- VMware operational knowledge.
- Experience on automation skills
- Server migrations skills
- Troubleshooting skills
- Strong skills in TCP/IP networking, network topology and firewalled environments.
Unix/Linux Systems Engineer Responsibilities:
- System tunings to application specific requirements. Systems standardization and automation.
- Keeping the UNIX environment compliant with the technology roadmap, such as OS & hardware upgrades, 3rd party software upgrades.
- Work on incident tickets and resolve in a timely manner.
- Remediate Secunia OS vulnerabilities as required by regular security audits.
- Perform quarterly patching of RedHat to ensure systems are compliant and pass strict PCI security requirements as dictated by regular audits from security team.
- Interface with IT and business clients at all levels of the organization.
- Rotating on-call Unix/Linux support in a 24X7 environment.
- Documentation of work.
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related software
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of Linux-based infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Linux-based solutions that meet business needs
