Lifesteps is hiring an Accounting Associate for the Murrysville / Export Office.

Position Summary:
The Accounting Associate performs a variety of general accounting support tasks (i.e. filing documents, reconciling statements, running software programs, etc.)
- Collecting and verifying the accuracy of attendance sheets from a variety of programs.
- Using the above data to create weekly and/or monthly billing claims or invoices.
- Submitting claims using the States online processing software (PROMISe).
- Investigate and analyze any errors and work with appropriate departments to rectify.
- Entering Accounts Receivable data into accounting software.
- Reconciling weekly payments against billing data.
- Maintain and monitor individuals approved billable units, utilized units and remaining available.
This full-time position works Monday through Friday from 8 to 4:30 with weekends off! We will also consider someone who wants to work part-time from 9 am to 2 pm daily Monday through Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years experience in bookkeeping, auditing, cost accounting, general accounting, or similar
- OR Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related field
- Strong typing, analytical and computer skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or automated accounting systems
- Prior experience analyzing financial data
- Current driver’s license and the ability to travel for business utilizing personal vehicle
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- Proficient with Abila Fund Accounting (MIP) or Unicentric ServicExpert systems
- Knowledge of Excel Pivot Tables
