Patient Care Coordinator
This person will be part of a 3-person front desk team and will work alongside our 3 optometrists and other support staff. Future opportunity for cross training would be planned after competency in this position is shown.
The main duties of this employee requires:
- Understanding that the patient's needs come first. Be ready to extend immediate, courteous and professional attention to every patient as he or she enters our office
- Coordinating patient records
- Answering phone calls
- Scheduling appointments
- Entering patient demographics
- Preparing charts
- Verifying vision insurance
- Checking patients in and out patients at their appointments
Note: All duties are shared among the three staff members.
Skills:
- Phone etiquette and computer knowledge
- Ability to observe and facilitate patient flow in the office
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Willingness to cross training after competency is proven
