CDL Driver Job Description
Lignetics, Inc. is in search of skilled, CDL Class A Truck Drivers out of our White Pigeon location. Previous commercial driving experience required, with the ability to operate automatic and manual transmissions.
- Operate an 18-wheel Semi and Tractor Trailer trucks with automatic & manual transmissions.
- Responsible for daily completion of all required paperwork such as freight bills, load sheets, electronic logbooks, records of fuel purchases, mileage records, and any other records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
CDL Driver Qualification / Education
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License with appropriate endorsements.
- Must have a minimum of 1-year previous tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English at a level that would allow the communication and comprehension of job-related information, instructions, regulations, signs, maps, MSDS guidelines, required paperwork, memos, etc.
- Must have knowledge of DOT regulations and Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection, and maintenance.
- Must meet or exceed the medical standards of the U.S. Dept. of Transportation and have a valid DOT Medical Card.
- Must be able to frequently reach for freight at waist level and occasionally reach for freight above shoulder height or below waist level.
- Must be able to occasionally reach above shoulder level, at waist level, and below waist level for maneuvering and directing the controls to operate the truck.
- Must be able to load and unload full trailers of freight. Loading and unloading is dependent upon the customer's requests.
