As Sales Manager at Liguori Publications, you will be responsible for leading a sales team, developing and implementing effective sales strategies, and achieving revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets, identifying new market opportunities and trends.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of sales professionals to maximize their potential, productivity, and effectiveness.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including Catholic parishes, bookstores, libraries, distributors, and online retailers.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis for senior management.
- Product Knowledge: Develop an in-depth understanding of our publishing catalog and effectively communicate the unique selling points of our titles to customers.Promotions and Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing and editorial team(s) to plan and execute sales promotions and advertising campaigns. Laser focus on the Catholic liturgical year and developing Catholic emphasis and direction is essential.
- Budget Management: Manage the sales budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while meeting revenue targets.
- Sales Training: Conduct sales training sessions for team members to enhance their product knowledge and selling skills.
- Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and product development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Practicing Catholic with a deep and concerned desire to enable good Catholic pastoral practices.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Communication and negotiation abilities.
- High proficiency in using CRM software, business reporting systems and sales analytics tools.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to travel as needed.
