Position Summary: Communicate with vendors to ensure that deliveries arrive on or before the scheduled delivery date.
Role qualifications:
- Must be familiar with Company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives.
- Focus on meeting challenging project timelines.
Position responsibilities:
- Work with vendors to ensure accurate and on time delivery of goods to appropriate locations.
- Proactively identify and report potential problems which could result in not meeting deadlines.
- Notify engineering, manufacturing and project management teams in a timely manner if a critical delivery is going to be late.
- Enter data into the company’s ERP system to reflect updates on all purchase orders.
- Work with Supply Chain Manager to identify performance gaps and delays to ensure issues are being resolved.
- Process returns from completed projects or excess material due to design changes.
- Provide backup for purchasing function if required.
Essential skills and experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Commitment to company values.
Nonessential skills and experience:
- Personal computer and Business system computer training.
- Quality system requirements training
Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S)
- Understand the Company’s EHS Policy and how it relates to this job.
- Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as the Company’s Plant Rules and Regulations that pertain to this job.
- Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EHS procedures.
- Know that the company EHS procedures are located on the ISO drive.
- Immediately notify the Supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly, or if there are any questions regarding EHS procedures.
- Attend required EHS training
