The Role at a Glance:
In this position you will design and deliver complex IT assignments/projects ensuring deliverables meet the needs, goals, and objectives for the enterprise. You will also provide subject matter expertise and direction for your area of responsibility to internal stakeholders to ensure best practices are leveraged and implemented throughout the enterprise.
What you'll be doing:
- As a member of the Advanced Testing Team (center of excellence), you will be providing leadership, best practices, research, and support/training for QE toolsets used throughout the enterprise.
- Identify and recommend process improvements and best practices that significantly reduce workloads or improve current processes, standards, and practices.
- You will be involved in the full lifecycle of application development from designing, coding, testing, deploying, and monitoring.
- Perform/maintain/build complex automation frameworks, internal & vendor tools, and services.
- Provides technical subject matter expertise to project teams and internal stakeholders (e.g., application developers, application support, testers) on a broad variety of software testing issues.
- Provides status reports and metrics on assigned projects.
- Provide expertise, training, and coaching to junior team members.
What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 7 years of experience in application development that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
- Advanced experience with Java
- Advanced experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Advanced experience SQL and Databases
- Beginner to moderate experience with APIs and RESTful web services
- Experience building and maintaining open-source frameworks using external jars
- Mitigating vulnerabilities in jars & versions, maintaining functionality between version upgrades
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Delivery and DevOps
- Experience with source control tools such as Git / Jenkins
- Experience with IDEs such as Eclipse / Visual Studio
- Excellent communication, with demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Nice-to-haves:
- Ability to solve problems and interpret a variety of variables
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, JMeter, etc.
- Proficient in software quality assurance processes, standards, and methodologies.
- Experience with Visual Studio / VB.Net
- Experience with Service Virtualization
- Ability to work in a complex technical environment with a variety of applications.

Pay Range: $83,500 - $179,100
Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
