The Role at a Glance

As a Sr. Product Management Communications Consultant you will provide direction and subject matter expertise on product management and implementation communication initiatives/projects. Specifically, you will develop and execute a diverse range of technical reference and communication programs to support Product Management, which includes leading broad groups, acting as the communication hub and influencing decisions. #LI-HYBRID

What you'll be doing

• Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.

• Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.

• Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit.

• Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects.

• Provides direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability.

• Partners with internal stakeholders to understand the business needs goals and objectives for projects and/or initiative and provides business consultation for communication strategies to most effectively reach target audiences and achieve desired outcomes.

• Leads the planning and development of a wide range of communications materials, including LFG intranet/internet content, talking points, messaging scripts and other written materials.

• Executes effective governance of communications by not exposing Lincoln to any form of legal, compliance, reputational or regulatory risk.

• Manages and delivers assigned communications and newsletters in the role of a "Managing Editor".

• Interacts and builds strong collaborative relationships with Product Management, Distribution, Underwriting, Operations, Compliance, Marketing, departmental staff, other key business and IT partners including third party administrators.

• Effectively negotiates to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery of Product information.

• Influences business workflow and supports the development of and documentation of business processes.

• Provides direction/subject matter expertise and collaborates with IT to test, approve and sign-off on web implementations, including product/rider/fund changes.

• Consults and serves as a subject matter export to appropriate internal stakeholders to develop complex solutions and communications which meet business needs.

• May mentor departmental staff and serve as a resource on product/rider features, product concepts, LFG intranet/internet development. Conducts trainings and prepares documentation and reference materials.

• Leads and participates in, manages and executes department projects for his/her assigned area of responsibility.

• Identifies and plans for future enhancements to streamline and automate processes.

• Collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.

• Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines. Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.

• Performs other duties as required.

What were looking for

• 5 - 7 Years of communications and/or marketing experience which relates to the specific responsibilities for this role.

• 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures.

• Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work with others in a team environment; Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
