The Role at a Glance
We are excited to bring on an Editorial Consultant to our Workplace Solutions Creative Services organization, to work remotely as a member of a team with other proofreaders and writers.
Background Details
As an Editorial Consultant, you will proofread and edit written assignments/projects primarily for the Group Benefits business line. You will act as a resource to applicable internal stakeholders, refining and improving efficient and effective written collateral - including fliers, whitepapers, emails, video scripts, social media, etc., that drive market awareness of Lincoln’s products and services for Workplace Solutions.
What you'll be doing
- Proofreading/editing (70/30 split) for Group Benefits’ business line marketing materials
- Creative brainstorming and problem-solving as a member of the Creative Services team
- Collaborative, team-first engagement with stakeholders in Marketing
- Active understanding and implementation of Lincoln brand, Proofreading, and AP style guides.
- Maintaining knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assessing impact, and collaborating with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies.

- 3-5 years of proofreading/editorial experience
- Degree in English, Journalism, or related field
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in financial services organization
- Experience with Workfront

Pay Range: $65,700 - $118,300
Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
