What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Advisor - NCLEX Prep position at Lincoln Tech?
Lincoln Tech in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Nursing Advisor to prepare students for the NCLEX-PN exam. This individual will need strong student coaching, and development skills and will utilize curricula materials, ATI, and commonly accepted instructional methods.
Responsibilities
- Provide students with academic support, tutoring, and skills enhancement.
- Assist students in completing the State Licensure application and PearsonVue, and in preparing for the exam.
- Mentor and support students in making changes in attendance, grade, or other factors to ensure success.
- Develop an individual student education plan to address areas needing improvement.
- Develop learning aids and assessment tools on a subject matter needing improvement.
- Track and mentor graduates for 90 days post-graduation or until the completion of the NCLEX-PN first attempt.
- BSN Required, MSN a plus!
- 3 years of recent clinical experience
- ATI knowledge and experience preferred
- Teaching experience in an academic setting preferred
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong computer skills
- An ongoing student focus
