Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Production Technician for our Air Separation Facility located in Livermore, CA. This position will report to the Production Superintendent.
The Production Technician will be responsible for ensuring production requirements are met and that the facility is operated in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner. This is a front-line operations role that will respond to unplanned events, work independently, and make technical decisions and recommendations to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of the facility. This position requires a combination of office and field work.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinates closely with other operators and management
- Maintains compliance with all applicable regulatory, policy, and internal engineering standards
- Collaborates with support teams for technical assistance
- Maximizes efficiency and operating capacity of the plants
- Troubleshooting plant process & equipment problems and implementing solutions
- Maintains QA program, facilitates customer and corporate audits
- Supports fillzone activities including the filling of trucks, offloading of railcars, and all applicable QA items
- Is available for on-call duties per pre-determined schedule with other technicians
- Maintains documentation of equipment and process through workorders, QA, etc.
- Responsible for safe startup and shutdown of all process equipment and understanding of emergency procedures
Qualifications:
- 3 years of relevant management/industry experience (preferred)
- Experience with installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
- Working knowledge of Hazardous Work Permits and Lock out Tag out
- Excellent quick thinking and team interaction skills
- Self-starter who is comfortable working independently, effectively manages multiple tasks and achieves results with minimal supervision.
- Must have a positive attitude, be willing to quickly adapt to changing situations, have strong communications skills, and a strong will to build and maintain productive relationships across departmental lines.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
