Job Overview:
In this role, you will prepare and apply aluminum/chrome slurry coatings to various aerospace, turbine, and automobile parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will review technical plans to confirm documented steps to part preparation, application, and curing of coatings.
- Set-up curing ovens to correct soak temperatures and soak times.
- Manually mix and sieve coating material per technical requirements.
- Manually load parts onto racking system for ovens.
- In this role, you will maintain all documentation and PM procedures required by technical plans
- Utilize cranes, one man, and two man lift procedures as required.
- Complete job card forms indicating part number, part quantity and coating material data used during processing.
- Complete set-up documentation as required by process.
- Maintain a clean and hazard free work area. Performs light maintenance and preventative maintenance on equipment.

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Skills:
Must be able to read and understand instructions and technical specifications. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Must be experienced in manual spray guns (Binks, Sata, Devilbiss, ect) used to apply aluminum slurry based coatings.
Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting up to 40#’s, Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, hand and finger manipulation. Occasional stooping, crouching. Climbing stairs and ladders.
PPE:
Safety Glasses, gloves, ear protection, air-fed respirator, Tyvek diposable bodysuit, safety shoes. Successfully pass respirator lung capacity testing. Participate in hexavalent chrome testing and monitoring program.
Work Environment:
Industrial non-air-conditioned environment.
