What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Head Volleyball Coach position at LINDEN HALL?
Linden Hall seeks a Middle School Head Volleyball Coach for the Fall 2024 season. The Head Coach will report to the Director of Athletics. The position manages all aspects of the Middle School Volleyball program, which runs from approximately mid-August to mid-October in the afternoons and evenings.
Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for Linden Hall Middle School Volleyball program.
- Report new developments and concerns to Athletic Director
- Attend coach’s meeting
- Manage assistant coaches and their duties
- Inform parents and athletes of volleyball regulations, Linden Hall regulations, and academic performance requirements
- General upkeep, protection, and recommendation of equipment/new equipment
- Must hold athletes accountable for conduct and sportsmanship
- Must notify Athletic Director the results of volleyball contests for media purposes
- Must drive athletes to all away contests in Linden Hall school vans
- Maintain safe atmosphere for athletes to compete
- Complete/maintain all required coaching certifications
- Teach proper and safe skills to athletes
- Collaborate with Athletic Trainer to support injured athletes
- Attends all practices and games – Makes sure that athletes are always supervised
- Keeps abreast of current coaching trends and techniques
