Vehicle Test Technician (Entry Level) - Dearborn, Michigan

We are looking for a* Vehicle Test Technician (Entry Level) *to use their skills to set up and assist in the analysis of a vehicle test to ensure data is meeting design specifications established by customers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Basics of Passenger Car, Light Truck and Commercial Vehicle brake systems
- Perform Frequency Response Function (FRF) on incoming parts for NVH Testing
- Physical measurements of test components along with Detailed Photos of rotors or brake pads
- Inspection of vehicles when they come in or leave
- Prep parts (Rotors/Linings)
- Boxing up parts and putting them away when they are removed from vehicles (received/tested)
- Cleaning vehicles inside and out before they are returned to customers
- Delivering or picking up vehicles & Parts from various locations
- Measure rotor LRO / DTV and understand LRO / DTV basics
- Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
- Adherence to company policies.
- Adherence to LINK quality process and procedures and identify continuous improvement opportunities implemented through our quality system.
- Be a role model and advocate of the LINK culture that is consistent and emphasizes the identified mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- Embody the Ownership Brand Driver (Accountability, Commitment, Can-Do Attitude, Courage, & Humility).
- Responsible for submitting an accurate labor ticket on a daily basis.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED with technical curriculum
- Computer skills Microsoft Word and Excel (preferred)
- Know how to use micrometer and caliper measuring tools (helpful)
- Ability to understand priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to bring projects to completion in a timely and efficient manner
- Basic knowledge of CV, Pass car, & light truck brakes
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Technical aptitude to form a hypothesis, verify test methods, draw conclusions, and communicate results effectively
- Applicable verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Applicable organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service
- Hands-on problem solving and continuous improvement abilities
Other:
- Will involve hands-on work with tools and testing equipment
- Must have the willingness & Ability to work overtime, occasional late days, weekends (as needed)
- Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends (as needed)
- Physical activity will include lifting (up to 50lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity
- Must have reliable attendance
