Job Description
This role can be based in any of our US office locations or wherever candidate chosen for hire resides. At LinkedIn, we trust each other to do our best work where it works best for us and our teams. This role offers both hybrid and remote work options, meaning you can work from home and commute to a LinkedIn office, depending on what’s best for you and when it is important for your team to be together, or this role can be performed remotely in most locations in the country of employment.
We are looking for a Director to lead our Measurement Strategy and Operations team, focusing on building out measurement frameworks and capabilities across both buyer and consumer journeys.
The Director will work with marketers across all business units and cross-functionally with sales, product, customer success, data science, and FP&A to ensure alignment on measurement methodologies that are (a) purpose-built for LinkedIn and LinkedIn’s data environment, (b) future-proofed for a rapidly changing product and marketing landscape, (c) scalable across all lines of business, and (d) designed to enable scaled optimization and to surface actionable insights.
The ideal candidate has led high visibility marketing measurement projects in matrixed organizations, understands marketing strategy and objectives and has experience in building, testing and leveraging measurement capabilities to measure marketing effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides the leadership, management, and vision necessary to define the measurement strategy across the Buyer and Consumer Customer Journey.
- Develops measurement playbook to evaluate the performance of digital, marketing, and omnichannel to establish incremental impact to the total business
- Coordinates and leads the implementation of advanced measurement capabilities in partnership with our Data Science partners (e.g., Media Mix Models, touch point attribution, Lifetime value and incremental testing)
- Participates in the development of strategic plans to increase profitability and mitigate financial risks
- Works closely with channel and marketing leads in recommending planning and optimization decisions based on measurement capabilities
- Builds out integrated plans to facilitate new capabilities across the business
- Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders (Finance, Marketing, Data Science, and Product Marketing) across varied teams, fostering alignment on special project efforts
- Partners with data science to build out capabilities that enhance our measurement capabilities
- Sets statistical best practices to be leveraged across the team
- Partners with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate new ideas, prioritize roadmaps and communicate updates to leadership
- Leads in change management especially in measurement capabilities, marketing and/or data
- Leads a team of strategic analysts developing both their technical and strategic skillsets
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in management consulting, marketing analytics, or marketing strategy or equivalent experience
- BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience
- 5 years managing a team
Preferred Experience
- SQL experience
- B2B marketing analytics and media experience
- Experience project managing data science partners to build marketing measurement capabilities
- Excellent sense of prioritization for self and others
- Experienced problem solver, not afraid to question the norm
- Change Management experience with large projects
- Great communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and the Google productivity suite
Suggested Skills:
- Effective Communication – Translation of business requirements to technical requirements
- Marketing Analytics – Understand and build out best practices across buyer and consumer journeys. Technical expertise in evaluating media mix, attribution, life time models
- Project Management – Manage analytics projects from strategy to deployment
- Change Management – Manage large change management projects especially implementing new measurement capabilities and working with Finance, Sales, and Channel partners
LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The pay range for this role is $160,000 - $250,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
