What are the responsibilities and job description for the GSSAP Operations Advisor position at LinQuest Corporation?
LinQuest Corporation is hiring a Geosynchronous Space Situational Awareness Program (GSSAP) Operations Advisor to directly support the Space Delta 2 (DEL 2) Technical Director on Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.
An active TS/SCI clearance is REQUIRED.
The mission of DEL 2 is to prepare, present, and fight assigned and attached forces for the purpose of executing combat-ready Space Domain Awareness (SDA) operations to deter aggression and ultimately protect and defend the United States and our allies from attack in-through-from space. DEL 2 manages assigned weapon system architectures and ensures operations are intelligence-led, cyber-resilient, and driven by innovation, while postured to succeed in a contested, degraded and operationally limited environment.
A strong candidate has excelled while operating Space Domain Awareness (SDA) sensors. In this position, you will provide the Technical Director with an operational perspective in order to:
- Operationalize data from space-based sources (i.e., QZSS-HP, EWS-G1/G2, WSF-M).
- Integrate space-based satellite sensor data into operations.
- Inform how SDA data gets delivered to operators, C2 centers, and data repositories on combat relevant timelines.
- Develop, coordinate, and/or assess Tactics, Techniques and Procedures.
- Optimize current and future SDA mission capabilities.
- Travel may be required for limited durations to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Required Skills/Experience:
- BA/BS degree
- 3 years of experience operating, or in direct support (i.e., management oversight, intelligence, or acquisition) of any operational system associated with USSPACECOM/USSF
- 3 years of additional experience operating, or in direct support (i.e., management oversight, intelligence, or acquisition) of any space- or ground-based SDA sensor systems.
- Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel)
- Ability to identify and resolve challenges in a high-tempo, collaborative environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Accustomed to professionally interacting with General/Flag officers and senior civilian personnel
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliverables with minimal guidance
- Active TS/SCI clearance is MANDATORY
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience with space-based (satellite) SDA sensor systems (i.e., Space-based Space Surveillance system, Geosynchronous Space Situational Awareness Program, any associated pathfinder satellite programs.
- Experience with multiple USSF SDA sensors (ground or space-based).
- Experience with multi-mission sensors that contribute to SDA.
- Experience with acquisition/integration of next generation space surveillance sensor systems or upgrades to existing SDA sensor capabilities
- Experience with government testing of space systems.
- Experience with SDA sensors in commercial/civil and/or academia settings.
Compensation:
- The salary for this position ranges from approximately $110,000 to $125,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
