What You Will Do
- Demonstrate a safety-first behavior in the workplace at all times. Support and promote safe practices for using chemical, tooling, and all related equipment.
- Execution of work per standard procedures or experimental work instructions in designated lab as assigned by lead Tech or Supervisor.
- Perform preventative maintenance and first level troubleshooting on processes and tooling as trained.
- Accurate execution, data entry and lot tracking for all work.
- Load/Run/Unload materials and jobs on prototype and production 3D printers and support equipment (i.e. ovens, bead blaster, metrology tools, etc.), including applicable cleaning and preparation, per documented procedures and experimental work instructions.
- Work with powder processes including sifting, baking, excavating, loading and unloading 3D printers and/or peripheral equipment.
- Communication/ escalation of any issues to Lead Tech or Supervisor for resolution.
To Be Successful You Will Have
- Requires completion of a high school diploma, General Education Development (GED) or equivalency.
- With technical experience in R&D, product test development, manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Able to multi-task in a rapidly changing environment.
- Having a team-oriented attitude with a strong desire to learn.
- Working with the organization to support experimental and new product development.
- Effective written/verbal communication and analytical skills.
- Effective in a team environment as well as operating independently.
- Well versed in Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, OneNote, MS Outlook Exchange etc.)
- Excellent customer skills.
CERT Expectations
- Respond to onsite emergency events and act as first responder to spills and chemical releases.
- Act under the direction of a Site Incident Commander during evacuations and other Incident Command Events and drills.
- Responsible for performing building sweeps as requested by a Site Incident Commander.
- Expected to don PPE, up to and including Level B protection (Fully encapsulating suit and SCBA), and respond to emergency events while wearing this PPE.
- Must possess knowledge and decision making ability with regards to risk assessment; hazard identification; knowledge on chemicals that they may need to come in contact with and how to protect themselves appropriately; planning for response , PPE determination based upon the hazard.
- Need to be able to work as a team with other emergency responders.
- Attend all required training and team meetings.
- Respond to calls when paged when you are on site.
- Respond within scope of training.
- Respond to pages for HF chemical exposure and apply calcium gluconate gel as needed.
GERT Expectations
- Respond to onsite emergency gas release or alarm events and act as first responder under the direction of a Site Incident Commander.
- Consult Incident Commander with technical information regarding the gas system and tools that are in alarm, potential causes, potential risks, and assist in creating a mitigation plan.
- Expected to don PPE, up to and including Level B protection (Fully encapsulating suit and SCBA),and respond to emergency events while wearing this PPE.
- Understand limitation of PPE, know what to wear in what situation, Flame retardant vs. Corrosive vs. Pyrophoric, etc.
- Must develop knowledge and decision making ability based upon OJT Levels with regards to risk mitigation; hazard identification; knowledge on gases and systems that supply site gasses and how to protect themselves and others appropriately; planning for response , PPE determination based upon the hazard.
- Attend all required training and team meetings.
- Respond to calls when paged when you are on site.
- Respond within scope of training, and understand their own limitations and knowledge.
- Perform bottle changes safely and with appropriate PPE, purges, procedures, etc.
- Understanding of specific work centers where the individual is expected to respond.
