General Responsibilities
Receive, process, and reconcile all donations and payments for the Missions Development Fund and Student Missions Fund - nearly 10,000 gifts annually with the majority of donations being between the range of $25-$150
Correspond with students, volunteers, campus partners and host partners in relation to fundraising, budgets, expenses, and other financial-related matters
Manage and reconcile the primary missions credit card to purchase airfare, transportation, lodging, and other expenses for student mission teams
Serve as the primary liaison to travel agencies, airlines, and accommodation providers
Potential for on-call, 24/7 availability during heightened mission seasons (Spring Break, Summer timeframes) in regards to last-minute or emergency-related financial transactions or changes in accommodations and airfare
On rotation for the incident management team (IMT) while teams are on the field
Maintain regular interaction and serve as primary liaison for Lipscomb Missions with the Business Office and Advancement Services
Assist with Missions-related events and campaigns, which may occasionally include after-hours or weekend events
Serve as a missions liaison to advancement for the Day of Giving campaign
Other duties as assigned, relating to finance and logistics
Financial Processing
Required training in Lipscomb Missions/Lipscomb University financial systems (GoMethod, Pushpay, CNF, etc.)
Record offline donations and payments into GoMethod financial rosters
Process and record missions expenditures, including but not limited to employee VISA statements, student and employee reimbursements, interdepartmental expenses and payments for airfare, lodging and supplies
Process and track journal entries, cash advances and wire transfers
Track financial commitments and manage potential account holds
Properly allocate and code donations, payments, and expenses to interdepartmental partnership funds (Peugeot Center for Engineering, Business as Mission, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Athletics, Lipscomb Academy, etc.)
