***This position has potential for $500 quarterly bonus and $100 monthly attendance bonus
The primary responsibility of the Mechanical Repair Specialist in Livonia, MI is to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, piping, electrical systems, control systems, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, fabrication/welding, and preventive maintenance by performing the following duties:
Essential Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Inspect and test machinery and equipment visually.
2. Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair the machine.
3. Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
4. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts.
5. Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
6. Change light fixtures when necessary.
7. Assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
8. Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
9. Install or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
10. Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, and fixtures, and tools.
11. Troubleshoot Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatics, and mechanical equipment. Use measurement tools, tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.
12. Use multi-meters, Meggers, and other types of electrical troubleshooting meters.
13. Read mechanical and electrical diagrams and prints.
14. Perform machine preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled in a timely manner.
15. Complete maintenance work orders as scheduled in a timely manner.

Equipment & Software:
1. Knowledge of attribute and variable gaging.
2. Plant ERP system (Currently Plex)
3. Hydromat/cold header knowledge (experience) - plus
4. Fanuc Robot – (operations/programming) - plus
5. Allen Bradley PLC relay and ladder logic – understanding - plus
6. Vision Systems for compliance – COGNEX/Keyence/ - camera systems – plus
7. Electrical schematic reading (print)
Required Qualifications:
• High School Degree (GED)
• Work experience in industrial or in commercial work environment.
• Experience with manual skills related to facility maintenance.
• Knowledge about repair work.
• Experience in manufacturing environment.
• Technical school (fabricating/welding, electrical training, print reading, industrial machine experience (CNC. cold heading, threading, and cutting machines [Hydromat], robotics [Fanuc] and some Vision systems, etc preferred.
• Work safely in adherence of MIOSHA and LISI safety standards
