A Cloud Engineer is a member of the team responsible for the architecture, reliability, security, cost, operations, integration, and governance of the enterprise cloud platform. This team also provides shared engineering services support and, as a contributor, this individual processes support requests, executes sprint work and operational tasks in our shared services efforts supporting partner teams. The detailed description of the key responsibilities of the Cloud Engineer, given below, will help you to better understand the role this individual plays in the organization:
The Cloud Engineer reports to the Manager of Cloud Platform Engineering and can be worked remotely.
Responsibilities
- Implement, Operate, Monitor, Maintain, and Iterate upon the Enterprise Cloud Platform
- Provide technical support to application, data and other internal teams regarding the Azure cloud platform features, functionality and integrations; including AZDO pipelines and service connections
- Deploy infrastructure via terraform pipelines,
- Maintain DevOps Terraform pipelines supporting deployment
- Iterate on Terraform source modules to improve functionality or refactor based on the technical requirements of cloud infrastructure projects
- Update/Create documentation as needed
- Perform on-call support (rotation)
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- 4 years in an enterprise engineering role
- 6 years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience actively deploying and managing Azure infrastructure
- 3 years experience with Terraform
- 1 years working with a scrum team, AZDO based repo’s, code processes and pipelines
- Azure Certifications: az100 series, Az300 series, az700 series
- Experience working in a Microsoft ecosystem, Windows devices and Services
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Sense of urgency
- Excellent communication
- Time Management
