The Hotel Houseperson is in charge of keeping our guest rooms and public areas clean, safe and welcoming. As a team member of the Housekeeping department, you will support the Hotel Room Attendants and Hotel Laundry Attendants by collecting linen throughout the property, assisting with guest rooms and carrying out guest requests as needed. The Hotel Houseperson is responsible for cleaning assigned areas in accordance with the hotel’s standards while demonstrating a professional, friendly, warm and welcoming attitude at all times.
Benefits began on the 1st day of the month following your hire date even if you start on the 31st of the month.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advise Hotel Facilities / Housekeeping Manager immediately of repairs and maintenance needs.
- Stock all linen rooms daily.
- Keep premises of the hotel in a clean and orderly condition.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim
- Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- Polish, buff hard floors, shampoo carpets & upholstery
- Assist attendants with making beds
- Assist in cleaning hotel rooms
- Assist with moving furniture
- Radio use required, to be maintained at proper volume and channel
- Dust furniture and equipment
- Shampoo and assist with the removal and replacement of mattresses
- Wash windows, door panels, and sills
- Empty wastebaskets
- Transport trash and waste to the disposal area
- Replenish bathroom supplies
- Assist Hotel Room Attendants with garbage, linen, stocking, etc.
- Assist Hotel laundry when needed
- Attend all mandatory meetings and training
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three months related experience and / or training
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Squaxin Island Gaming Commission.
- Requires a valid Washington State Driver License and must be insurable on the Tribe’s insurance
