Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Salary: $40,000 - $50,000.00 D.O.E
but can very as needed to perform duties as assigned.

This position is located at 601 East College Drive, Winnebago, NE, 68071.
Purpose of Position:
The Learning Lab Specialist will manage the Little Priest Tribal College (LPTC) Learning Lab and assist the Director of Student Support Services (SSS) as needed. The individual will play a key role in assisting with the Learning Lab's day-to-day activities. The position will work towards meeting the mission statement and purposes of Student Support Services and the College. The work schedule is generally Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). However, some later nights (e.g., study nights) and occasional longer hours are required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain timely and accurate communication with tutors and peer mentors.
- Build rapport with students who utilize the learning lab.
- Provide monthly reports summarizing Learning Lab and student activities to the Director of SSS.
- Collect data and submit to the Director of SSS regarding usage of the learning lab, including tutor usage.
- Initiate requisitions for SSS Department requisitions and follow up on invoices.
- Prepare travel request forms for SSS Department travel.
- Participate in staff development training.
- Produce and post flyers about events sponsored by SSS Department.
- Communicate with students about events through email and Facebook.
- Lead the activities sponsored by SSS.
- Provide study nights for midterms and finals.
- Travel to Sioux City and other locales to purchase needed items.
- Build and maintain relationships with faculty.
- Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Ability to balance working independently and as a team member within SSS.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality as required by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Qualifications:
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Possess a strong desire to assist students with knowledge regarding the Ho-Chunk culture.
- Ability to work with Native American students and underserved communities.
Travel:
Occasional travel—mostly local—is required.
