Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting. As a Daycare Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, fostering their growth and development through engaging activities and educational experiences.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in areas such as language, math, science, and social skills.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Educate children through play-based learning activities that encourage creativity and exploration.
- Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to parents regarding their development.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Provide first aid as needed and maintain accurate records of any incidents or injuries.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all children.
- Engage with parents through regular communication about their child's progress and daily activities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Excellent classroom management skills to maintain a structured environment.
- Ability to educate children effectively using various teaching methods.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- A nurturing demeanor with the ability to connect with children on an individual level.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with both children and parents.
- A background in nannying or similar roles will be considered an asset.
