JOB SUMMARY:
Risk management is an integrated, organization-wide program for the prevention, monitoring, and control of areas of potential liability exposure. The goal of effective risk management is to prevent liability and minimize financial loss through a process of education, feedback, and early response; thereby, enhancing the safety of patients, visitors, and employees of Livingston HealthCare.
Schedule:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct research to evaluate organizational liability exposure; collaboratively develop and/or implement programs designed to limit liability exposure.
- Supports quality and safety programs to proactively reduce organizational risk.
- Prepare and present statistical reports on requested subjects.
- Provides support for resolution of customer complaints and issues related to the quality of patient care/services, threats of legal action, and imminent safety/risk situations including mandatory reporting. Adherence to state and federal disclosure of health information obligation and restrictions is critical.
- Develops and maintains risk quality data profiles on clinicans and ensures integration of that information into the credentialing process in compliance with requirements for state and federal agencies.
- Identifies need and sets goals for own growth and development; meets all mandatory organization and department requirements.
- Organizational resource on legal and regulatory issues.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required):
- CPHRM certificate within 2 years based on eligibility requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Project management experience
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous work experience in hospital risk management, quality and process improvement principles and tools
- Experience in acute care hospital or clinic
Salary : $55,900 - $70,800
