Summary: The Project Coordinator position provides professionals an opportunity to assist Project Managers in a fast-paced, professional setting in the execution and delivery of complex Transportation projects while applying the knowledge and skills learned through education and experience in a business environment. This candidate will be involved with plan preparation, design calculations and specification preparation on schematic and PS&E projects across the state of Texas.
General Responsibilities:
- Schedule Project Meetings.
- Attends design review meetings and must coordinate with other team members to execute multidisciplinary projects.
- Plan preparation, design calculations, and specification preparation on Schematic and PS&E projects.
- Preparing Project Schedules
- Filing project documents.
- Manage task and deliverables list.
- Maintaining staff schedules.
- Review client supplied documents and standards to determine existing conditions and proposed project execution.
- Bidding phase assistance, contract award, and construction contract administration.
- Preparing formal project letters and correspondence.
- Setting up Project Accounting workplans in business system
- Monitoring sub-consultants including reviewing contract and insurance certificates to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Accounts payable review and coding.
- Company credit card reconciliation.
- Special projects as requested by manager.
Required Education/Licenses:
- High School Education required. Some college or a college degree is preferred.
Required Experience:
- 5 years of professional experience in Transportation Engineering.
- Proficient in MicroStation and Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project scheduling software is a plus.
- Ability to work on several projects concurrently.
- Ability to efficiently utilize time in executing assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and within budget.
