We are currently seeking a candidate to fill the role of Construction Manager for our Safety team. The Construction Manager will manage, schedule and coordinate the processes and work of employees in preparation for installation of LJB projects.
Pay: $90,000-130,000/year with bonus eligibility
CONSTRUCTION MANAGER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Participates in initial planning stage by collaborating with clients, LJB project managers and design staff.
- Plans, coordinates, organizes, oversees, directs, and participates in activities regarding installation of fall protection systems.
- Works with client managers or sales managers to estimate construction labor and material costs
- for opportunities and proposals.
- Collaborates with design professionals to determine project requirements and procedures, and the required materials and works.
- Ensures required materials and equipment are procured by LJB Product Branch personnel based upon the project requirements.
- Oversees and sometimes participates at the project/work site with our team of employees, ensuring safety standards are followed and quality work is being performed in a timely manner. This will require being available during project hours that can vary due to client requests (weekends, 3rd shift, etc.).
- Collaborates with clients, supervisory staff, subcontractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve problems, including work procedures, complaints, and construction or design issues.
- Clear understanding with the ability to interpret engineering, architecture, and other
- construction drawings with the ability to explain drawings to others.
- Manages and leads actions that are necessary due to delays, bad weather or emergencies or supply issues.
- Supervision of installation employees, if required, to include hiring, performance management, timecards, payroll duties, etc.
Additional Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ability to travel as needed (overnight stays based on supported projects) to various US-based locations.
- Understanding of construction trades and installation work.
- Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.
- Desire to innovate and solve difficult problems from inception to final deliverable.
- Ability to react quickly and calmly to high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Other duties as assigned.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, technical degree preferred
Qualifications:
- 5 years experience required in construction management
- 5 years of supervisory experience in construction trade required
- Understanding/Training in OSHA/ANSI fall protection standards
- Ability to pass background checks, drug tests and MVR check

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to traverse worksite in different types of weather and bend, climb, stretch, reach, and lean to perform duties.
- Must be able to meet the weight capacity of design perimeters of fall protection systems (between 130 to 310 lbs.).
- Understands the exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
