Essential Job Duties:
- Oversee overall production assignments to ensure quality control and maximum productivity of employees in accordance with Production requirements.
- Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
- Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
- Review production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Encourage employee suggestions, develop safety awareness among employees and enforce all applicable safety regulations and Company practices and procedures.
- Review maintenance checklists and equipment repair schedules on a regular and frequent basis.
- Supervise programs waste program and all other applicable governmental regulatory agency programs.
- Supervise the maintenance of production equipment.
- Assure all materials needed for optimum economic production are available.
- Insure proper material controls and actively participates in the monthly inventory process.
- Perform monthly inventory of production supplies.
- Performs production work as necessary.
- Initiate and support the Corporation's movement of LKQ Corporation quality improvement system.
- Assumes other duties as assigned.
