We are currently seeking a Benefits Administrator to report directly to the Director of Benefits and as one of three members of the Benefits team. As part of our team, you’ll spend your days:
· Administering the company provided health, welfare and retirement plans to include medical, dental, H.S.A., 401(k), FSA, EAP, life, disability, legal, hospital, critical illness, indemnity, tuition discount, and pet insurance plans.
· Partnering with HR team members and other company leaders to ensure training, communications, processes, and compliance to support the employment cycle of associates including onboarding, status changes, leave of absence and terminations related to benefits.
Developing and maintaining relationships with benefit carriers and broker/consulting firms.
· Overseeing leave and disability process in partnership with HR business partners, to administer all leaves including FMLA, STD, LTD, Military, ADA accommodations, and state mandated paid family and medical leave.
· Preparing & updating benefit communications, presentations & materials to ensure benefits programs are a vital aspect of LL Flooring onboarding & retention.
· Coordinating, administering, and ensuring compliance for benefit enrollment processes and communications for new hires, open enrollment, COBRA, PPACA, QMSCO and life event changes.
Partnering with creation of annual engagement & education calendar of targeted physical, mental & financial wellness topics with an ongoing communication plan & strategy.
Researching plan coverage and ERISA rules, troubleshooting, and serving as an escalation point of contact for associates and leaders requiring support on benefits eligibility issues.
Supporting the Benefits Director with strategy and design of benefits, retirement, and wellness initiatives.
Reporting, analyzing, and auditing benefit elections, deductions, carrier invoices, and HRIS/payroll setup to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Administering, troubleshooting, testing, and reporting from the HRIS System as it relates to benefits.
· Support 401k audit and non-discrimination testing.
Keeping abreast of ERISA, DOL, state regulations and employee benefits best practices, and procedures to recommend enhancements for the LL Flooring benefit programs.
· Serve as backup to Benefits Director and HR Coordinator.
What we’re looking for:
2-3 years of experience in employee benefits and leave administration.
Prior experience supporting payroll and HR operations
Skillful with MS Word and Excel, and Outlook.
Working knowledge of HR Systems
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree, preferred.
