What You will be responsible for:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist the technician with light repair and installation work.
- Observe and learn all aspects of the trade.
- Always be safety conscious.
- Providing a memorable experience for each customer
- Performing physically demanding tasks, such as moving and lifting heavy objects and crawling through small spaces such as attics
- Working nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers
- Learning the Lloyd Home Service system
- Maintaining a clean and organized jobsite and inventoried truck
- Show yourself as a professional
- Assisting lead technician with:
- Diagnosing and repairing residential and light commercial plumbing jobs in accordance with the State of Vermont Building Codes
- Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
- Inspecting plumbing systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with all plumbing codes
- Testing Plumbing systems, equipment and fixtures, to ensure compatibility and safety of system

- Good driving record and current valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
- Exceptional Plumbing Apprentice will be wearing a uniform, clean cut
- You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry, or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces
