Purpose of Position:
Come join our team as a Calibration Technician! We are looking for an individual with experience in applying metrology principles to calibrate, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain biomedical testing equipment. We need a dedicated team member to ensure the accuracy and compliance of our calibration processes and records, which plays a pivotal role in our long-standing legacy in the biomedical world. Responsibilities:
- Perform duties in compliance with Quality Standards and Regulations, including ANSI Z540-1, ISO 17025, ISO 13485, ISO 9001.
- Read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Calibration Procedures, Work Instructions and Manuals.
- Perform various routine and complex tasks utilizing precision calibration standards, tools, and equipment.
- Interpret instrument specifications to ensure the accuracy and precision of the measurement results.
- Utilize Good Documentation Practices (GDP) when documenting calibration process, test data, work performed, materials utilized, and other records.
- Use metrology software and automated systems to perform calibrations, record results and manage processes.
- Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, train, and recommend improvements.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and provide time and material repair estimates for repairs as needed.
- Promote safety of self and fellow employees, customers, and environment.
Success Factors:
- An associate degree from college or technical school in Metrology, Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Technician (BMET), and/or Instrumentation Technology.
- Military (DoD) transferable training in PMEL, TMDE, PME, GCAMS, Avionics, Electronics, Calibration, Metrology, troubleshooting, repair.
- Experience in Electrical, Temperature, Pressure, and Flow calibrations.
- Proven work experience in calibration of measuring and testing equipment.
