Our company specializes in traffic control sales and service, temporary construction sign installation, permanent sign installation (concrete work), and temporary pavement markings. LMC works with General Contractors, the Virginia Department of Transportation, and local cities, towns, and municipalities. Job Responsibilities:
- Installing permanent signage per VDOT and engineered specifications;
- Concrete work to facilitate permanent sign installations;
- Read plans and specifications;
- Inventory and track materials used;
- Install and remove temporary construction signs;
- Work with customers to establish sign locations and notify Miss Utility;
- Load and unload delivery/service trucks for upcoming and completed projects;
- Operate light equipment (i.e. fork lift, mini track loader, etc.)
- Be productive, self-motivated, and have attention to detail.

Employees Requirements:
LMC’s line of work is often physically demanding. The following list describes the minimum ability requirements for all new employees.
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials;
- Move heavy objects (80 pounds or more) short distances (20 feet or less);
- Move light objects (less than 80 pounds) long distances (more than 20 feet);
- Heavy lifting with repeated stooping, carrying and bending continually over time (i.e., loading trucks, erecting signs & posts, & carrying signs/posts);
- Work long days with non-standard break times;
- Night work is required at times. Employees will be given ample notice prior to any night work.
- Learn job-related procedures primarily through verbal instruction and observation. This instruction will take place in an on-the-job training setting;
- Out of town/overnight work possible. This is usually short term (one night to several nights) and ample prior notice will be given.
- Lift arms above shoulder level (i.e., erecting and installing signs);
- Climb ladders or steps to reach objects;
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time;
- Must be able to walk moderate distances (0.5 mile or more);
- Must be committed to contributing to maintaining a safe environment, looking out for yourself and others.

Salary Range:
Starting at $17/hr depending on experience.
