Position Summary:
As the Radiology Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing daily department operations, ensuring they align with organizational goals, and fostering collaboration and communication to optimize efficiency. Your role involves ensuring safe, high-quality care and exceptional customer service, as well as addressing staffing needs, and providing feedback to drive individual and departmental improvement. Additionally, you'll facilitate staff orientation, ensure compliance with policies, manage inventory, and serve as a Superuser for new departmental applications, while maintaining proficiency in technologist duties to support patient care as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the department ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational goals
- Encourage departmental collaboration, teamwork and communication to maximize operating efficiencies
- Ensure safe, quality care and excellent customer service
- Ensure the department is properly staffed
- Receive, investigate and address issues
- Employs FAST feedback with employees (frequent, accurate, specific, and timely) to drive improvement in individual and department performance
- Facilitate orientation and assign preceptorship for new staff members
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Participates in planning strategy related to human resource needs and services
- Control excess supply inventory and assure supplies are on hand
- Act as Superuser on new applications to the department
- Performs duties of a technologist as needed, to maintain skills and assist with patient care needs
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or related field is preferred or 6 years of relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor’s degree
- Licensure in a Radiology field (ARRT, ARDMS, NMTCB)
- Knowledge of various areas and workflows within Radiology
- Experience with accreditation and state licensing standards
- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational and time management skills
- Minimum 5 years of related leadership experience
- Must be available for afterhours support
- Must be able to function in a stressful environment
