Position Title: Logistics Specialist (Permanent position)
Department & Cost Center: Supply Chain Management
Location: Ontario, CA
Supervisor: Supply Chain Director
Position Overview:
The primary role and responsibility is to provide accurate reporting and accountability of all original equipment documentation within the division including transportation, inventory control, distribution, product awareness, and training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibility and Decision-Making Authority:
1. Coordinate and monitor logistics operations to assist SCM Director.
2. Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used, effectively
3. Utilizing logistics IT to optimize shipping and transport procedures
4. Recruit /set-up and coordinate operation with logistics / office admin. venders (e.g. truckers; 3PL; any necessary logistics and customs related vender), according to availabilities and requirements
5. Supervise/Oversee orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs
6. Communication with suppliers, retailers, customers, etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
7. Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer service requirements
8. Keep accurate logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders
9. Prepare accurate reports for the SCM Director
Qualifications/Competencies/Position Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a logistics specialist
2. Experience in customer service and administration
3. Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirement, if applicable
4. Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
5. Computer savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP); high proficiency on MS Excel skill is must
6. Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education and Experience:
1. High School Diploma,
2. BA/BS degree in Marketing or Business related field a plus.
3. Relevant training Supply Chain and Logistics Management/procedure
Working Hours:
Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm this includes a 1 hour lunch break
Working Environment:
Work is performed in an office setting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
