The Food Logistics Assistant Manager supports the Food Logistics Manager with the day-to-day operations at the Loaves & Fishes Hub. The Food Logistics Assistant Manager will focus on the areas of Home Delivery, On-Line orders, and Curbside distribution planning, preparation, replenishment and fulfillment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily Duties

· Assist the supervision and training of volunteer groups to facilitate successful daily operation of the Hub and preparation for client distributions in the areas of Home Delivery, On-Line orders, and Curbside including stocking, updating inventory in on-line system, and order selection.

· Monitor the Hub to ensure a safe and clean environment for all volunteer activities.

· Replenishment of on-line/home delivery/curbside areas at the Hub – keeping organized and food grade standards of storage in all areas, including cooler and freezer.

· Backup driver for shuttles, product pick-ups and remote site client distributions, when necessary.

Inventory Management and Distribution

· Monitor inventory levels within on-line and home delivery areas and replenish/restock frequently to provide good selection and experience for clients.

· Assist with retrieval of pallets out of the warehouse area racking system.

· Lead the preparation and assist volunteers’ efforts in daily fulfillment of online orders, home delivery, curbside distributions.

· Manage rotation of inventory of both shelf stable and perishable products used in fulfillment of on-line ordering, ensuring FEFO (First Expired, First Out) method of inventory control.

Food Safety

· Maintain cleaning, sanitation and safe food handling standards of the warehouse and food storage areas.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Secure a state Food Service Sanitation certificate

· Forklift certification and competency

· Flexibility in working hours to ensure proper warehouse coverage for various organizational activities

· Ability to lift 50 pounds, and full range of motion in bending, lifting and general movement

· Working knowledge of inventory management/replenishment practices

· C-Class license, or ability to obtain one, for ability to drive larger transport vehicles

· Minimum of High School level education and strong competency on computer (email, Excel, data entry)
