Lockheed Martin Space in Cape Canaveral, FL is seeking a Summer 2023 Launch Operations Intern. As a Launch Operations Intern, you will perform the following:

• Various duties including creating and/or developing mechanical manufacturing work instructions.
• Determines the sequence of build, selecting or designing required tools, and solves production problems during the build of mechanical/electrical piece parts and assemblies.
• Assists in investigating design/manufacturing factors such as equipment or part availability, manufacturability, ease of assembly, and large assembly management.
• Develops and maintains all assembly documentation.
• Troubleshoot/correct anomalies and discrepant hardware.
• Performs producibility reviews on engineering designs/drawings to assess manufacturability, ease of assembly, and material availability.
• Support testing

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of reading, analyzing and interpreting various technical procedures and support testing requirements.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

Actively enrolled in a Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or another related degree program from an accredited college/university (ABET).

Ability to read, analyze and interpret various technical procedures and support testing requirements.

This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
