Description:The Corporation accounting team is seeking an accountant and the responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Review, analyze and record daily corporate cash transactions; • Coordinate with operating units and prepare and analyze the Federal reserve Bank quarterly report; • Partner with operating units and corporate departments regarding cash transactions; • Responsible for SOX 404 testing of non-cash processes; • Assist with the accounting close in the preparation of schedules; • Prepare journal entries and perform reconciliations; • Responsible for deferred compensation and billing; • Responsible for taking a fresh approach in the analysis of accounts ensuring compliance with corporate policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); • Assist in the preparation quarterly tax schedules and Forward Pricing Schedules for the Corporate Tax department, Long Range Plans for the FP&A group; • Assist in the preparation of certain disclosures in the SEC 10-Q, 10-K and Proxy; • Support and participate in special projects. Basic Qualifications: • Understanding of U.S. GAAP • Bachelor's degree in Accounting Desired Skills: • Ability to work well in teams and work cross-functionally to accomplish tasks • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work • Effective communication and interpersonal skills • Attention to detail while meeting deadlines • Effective problem solving skills
