Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics team as an Aircraft Operations Support Manager in support of the Iraq F-16 program at Balad AB, Iraq.

The selected candidate will receive operational guidance from and serve as the primary point of contact for the Flight Operations Manager/Lead Instructor Pilot or his designee. Note: The selected candidate will not have to relocate to Greenville, SC, but will deploy from their current location.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage personnel in following areas: Ops Techs, Life Support and Survival Equipment.

• Set up and operate the flight duty desk, maintain the Flight Crew Information File (FCIF) library; maintain all technical, flying, weapons and tactics, and intel libraries; providing administrator-level support for Patriot Excalibur (PEX) and Joint Mission Planning System(JMPS); tracking and documenting pilot currencies, events and qualifications; schedule simulators; providing administrative support for the presentation of all briefings specifically those used in academic presentations, monthly flying and training reports, and higher headquarters (HHQ) reporting.

• Ensure that supporting publications and computer software and hardware is functional for weapons delivery planning, briefing and debriefing, i.e. maintaining Joint Mission Planning Software (JMPS) and ordering and tracking all software and hardware updates to all Operations Management Systems. Support mission qualification training (MQT) and flight lead upgrade training (FLUG).

• Establishes work priorities for all assigned personnel; oversees work in progress to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures and directives.

• Ensures supply discipline, and proper care of assigned equipment and facilities, in a cooperative team effort.

• Serve as a primary point of contact to ensure timely development of weekly, monthly, and quarterly maintenance plans, flying schedules, and documentation of historical data.

• Review reports and statistical data from subordinate functions and other sources to evaluate the overall maintenance program status; identifying exception, trends or problem areas.

• Assignment may consist of site set-up activities in Iraq, to include but not limited to light to medium construction activities such as assembling warehouse shelving and furniture in all areas of the maintenance complex. Candidates must be willing and able to participate in all set-up activities, assist with receiving and storing supplies and support equipment.

• Environmental/weather conditions can be extreme during different seasons. Site is a secure compound which team members will be confined to. Flexibility, a positive attitude and excellent people skills are a must.

• Must possess at least Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting. Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

• Experience with USAF style flight operations and systems within the last 3 years.

• At least 4 years manager/leadership or supervisory experience in a military aircraft environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• USAF skill (7) level or equivalent

• Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with peers, supervisors and other work centers and to work collaboratively with other organizations to accomplish goals.
