This role is the Manager of Program Management (PM) Development responsible for leading the program manager development efforts across all Aeronautics PMs. PM development incorporates processes, tools, and training to ensure effective development for all members of the talent pool. A strong PM pipeline is critical to program success and customer satisfaction.
This is high visibility role with frequent executive leadership engagement. The selected candidate must be able to represent Enterprise Performance leadership, the PM community and Aeronautics PM leadership throughout all interactions.
This Program Management Development Manager responsibilities include:
- Lead the Program Management Development Program (PMDP) for Aero
- Support Program Management Talent Initiative Evolve (PMTI) Program
- Maintain PM competency assessments
- Support coordination discussions/activities across business areas supporting enterprise level PM development
- Lead and develop Aero PM training processes and activities (e.g. PM Boot Camp)
- Design and support corporate PM development programs and program management council
- Maintain PM resources and website
Basic Qualifications:
- Project Management experience
- Experience in senior executive level communications and engagements
- Experience interfacing and interacting with all levels of the organization
Desired Skills:
- Prior program management experience or aspirations to be in program management
- Leadership, lead role, or mentoring experience
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels
- Familiarity with Program Performance Management (PPM) / Earned Value (EV)
- Experience building relationships within the program and functional communities
- Strong data manipulation and analysis (MS Excel, SharePoint, databases, Tableau)
