As a Programmer, you will be working with
experienced engineers creating solutions which
will enable NASA to continue to explore deep
space, provide the next generation of Global
Positioning Satellites (GPS), or provide support
to the U.S. Intelligence Community. The
following are examples of duties that may be
included:
- Supporting the full life-cycle Agile development
of spacecraft flight software solutions.
Reviewing technical documents to identify and
resolve discrepancies, perform requirements
analysis, coordinate technical exchange
meetings, develop presentation materials, and
handle peer reviews
- Performing object oriented analysis and design
- Generating engineering documentation, reports,
and flow charts
- Completing the coding and unit level testing
- Supporting the final systems hardware and
software integration and testing, generating the
required documents for spacecraft delivery
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or equivalent experience in
Computer Engineering, Information Technology,
Computer Science, Information Assurance/Cyber
Security or related discipline.
- Basic understanding of STEM (science,
technology, engineering and math) principles as
well as the ability to interpret, generate, and
present technical material.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention
to detail to create high-quality work products
- Ability to work in an Agile environment and
handle multiple priorities and internal customers
- Desire to continually learn, ambition to
proactively address challenges, and aspiration to
work in a dynamic team environment
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge and/or experience in one or more of
the following software languages: Java, C ,
C#. C. Basic knowledge of software practices
such as coding standards, unit testing,
configuration management, database, and
system administration. Good communication
skills; team player; creative thinker and problem solver.
- Familiarity with Agile Development
- Processes is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
