As a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer with LM Space you would develop RF payload solutions for Space and Missile platforms. Be the onsite technical representative for all aspects of requirements, design, test and verification.
Resident on-site engineering representative for Lockheed Martin at supplier facility in Baltimore, MD. RF payloads and subsystems are needed for every platform and serve missions ranging from human space flight, commercial broadband services, national intelligence, protected communications, navigation and more. Our product portfolio includes a wide range of international and domestic programs, addressing the critical needs of our commercial, civil, and government customers.
As the On-site engineering representative, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of high reliability RF components, subsystems, and payloads for Space and missile platforms. Typical job responsibilities may include: acting as liaison between supplier team and LM team program office, coordinating technical and programmatic areas with the supplier, support to supplier execution of requirements derivation, design, manufacturing, integration, and test of both engineering and flight hardware.
Basic Qualifications:
• RF payload architecture and performance analysis
• Experience with requirements analysis and requirement decomposition for complex RF payload systems
• Production and manufacturing of RF hardware
• Integration & Test of RF components, payloads, and/or subsystems
• Leading engineering efforts for complex RF hardware and/or digital processors through the full development lifecycle (SRR, PDR, CDR, production, integration, and test)
Desired Skills:
• Design, production, integration, and test of Electronically Steerable Arrays (ESA), Radar Systems, RF and/or digital payloads, Telemetry Tracking & Command (TT&C), or missile communications subsystems.
• Ground Support Equipment and/or Special Test Equipment (STE)
• Certification and training as Certified Principal Engineer (CPE), Responsible Engineer, or equivalent
• Troubleshooting of RF and/or digital processor hardware to root cause
• RF and/or digital payload performance analysis using MATLAB or similar tools
• RF and/or digital payload test measurement techniques
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
